Code C0077: Low Tire Pressure
Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code C0077 (Low Tire Pressure) sets when the chassis/ABS module -- which uses tire pressure and rolling diameter data to correct wheel speed calculations and detect a significantly under-inflated tire -- detects a persistent low-pressure condition, an uncorrected tire diameter mismatch, or the TPMS malfunction lamp is commanded on by an upstream fault. A genuinely low tire, a mismatched replacement tire size, or an unresolved TPMS sensor fault feeding bad data into the chassis module are the common causes; this is rarely a chassis-module hardware failure by itself. Because mismatched rolling diameters distort wheel speed comparisons, this fault can also trigger unrelated ABS/traction codes until it is resolved.
