System: Powertrain (P-Code)
SAE Standard (Generic)
Family: Battery Charger Coolant Valve
Code P0DFF: Battery Charger Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit High
Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0DFF sets when the control module commands the onboard charger's coolant control valve to a position and the feedback signal or the charger's resulting temperature response does not match the commanded state. The most common physical causes are scale or debris seizing the valve body inside the charger's coolant manifold, a corroded actuator connector, and an internally worn valve motor. Because this valve serves only the charger's own liquid-cooling loop, a fault here should be diagnosed at the charger's coolant circuit rather than the pack's or the drive motor's separate cooling loops.
