Code P241F: EGR Cooler B Efficiency Below Threshold

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P241F (EGR Cooler B Efficiency Below Threshold) sets when the ECM compares gas temperature before and after the EGR cooler and finds too little temperature drop across it, meaning the cooler is no longer removing enough heat from recirculated exhaust gas. Causes are internal cooler tube fouling from soot and condensed hydrocarbons, a cracked cooler core letting coolant and exhaust gas cross-contaminate, or a stuck-open bypass valve routing gas around the cooler element.
