System: Powertrain (P-Code)
SAE Standard (Generic)
Family: EDR Request Circuit
Code P2513: Event Data Recorder Request Circuit Low
Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2513 (Event Data Recorder Request Circuit Low) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, or a high condition on the request line used by the event data recorder (crash data module) to pull vehicle parameters from the ECM. Causes are a corroded connector between the modules, damaged wiring on the shared request circuit, or a fault in the requesting module itself.
