System: Powertrain (P-Code)
SAE Standard (Generic)
Family: DOR Catalyst Temp Sensor
Code P2570: Direct Ozone Reduction Catalyst Temperature Sensor Circuit High
Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2570 (Direct Ozone Reduction Catalyst Temperature Sensor Circuit High) sets when the ECM sees an open, shorted, out-of-range, or intermittent signal from the temperature sensor monitoring a direct ozone reduction (DOR) catalyst, a coated radiator/condenser surface used on some platforms to break down ground-level ozone from ambient air passing through the cooling package. Causes are a corroded connector exposed to road spray at the front of the vehicle, a failed thermistor element, or wiring chafed against the radiator support.
