Code P2C51: Fuel Level Sensor A/B Correlation

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2C51 (Fuel Level Sensor A/B Correlation) sets when the ECM compares readings from the primary and secondary fuel level senders on a dual-sender tank and finds them disagreeing by more than the allowed tolerance, even though each sender's own circuit tests fine individually. A stuck or binding float arm on either sender, fuel slosh baffling that traps one float in a low or high position, or one sender's resistive track wearing faster than the other are the common causes.
