Code P2CFF: A/C Clutch Control Circuit Driver Current/Temperature Too High

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2CFF (A/C Clutch Control Circuit Driver Current/Temperature Too High) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, or a driver-overcurrent/over-temperature fault while engaging the A/C compressor's electromagnetic clutch. Causes are a worn clutch coil developing an internal short, a clutch air gap that has grown too wide from friction-disc wear, a corroded connector at the clutch coil, or a failed compressor clutch relay.
