ABS Control Module Internal Fault

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code C004F (ABS Control Module Over Temperature) sets when the ABS/brake control module's own internal self-check fails -- its supply voltage runs above or below the operating window, its internal temperature exceeds the rated limit, or a processor performance check does not complete correctly. Unlike a sensor or valve fault, this points at the module itself or the power feeding it: a failing vehicle charging system, a corroded module ground or power pin, or a heat-soaked module mounted too close to the exhaust or brakes are common causes. Because this module also runs the ABS and stability control valves, an unresolved internal fault typically disables those functions until it is cleared.

These 6 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 6 times.
