ABS Hydraulic Pressure Response Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code C004D (Brake System Pressure Slow Response) sets when the module commands a target hydraulic pressure and the measured pressure builds too slowly, will not hold, or a specific hydraulic circuit shows a confirmed internal leak, or the pump/valve system's overall performance falls outside its calibrated model. This points at the hydraulic side of the ABS/ESC unit rather than a single sensor: a leaking internal valve seat, a worn pump seal, or air trapped in a circuit from a prior repair that skipped the scan-tool bleed procedure. Because pressure response affects every automated braking intervention, this fault should be treated as safety-relevant and the hydraulic bleed procedure must use a scan tool, not manual bleeding, to fully purge the affected circuit.

These 7 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 7 times.
