AC Refrigerant Temp Sensor

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0EBC sets when the control module detects an implausible reading from the sensor measuring refrigerant temperature at the electric A/C compressor's discharge or evaporator line — the value disagrees with system pressure or the compressor's commanded speed. The most common physical causes are a corroded or unseated connector at the sensor's low-voltage pigtail, a refrigerant undercharge or overcharge that produces a genuinely implausible temperature-to-pressure relationship, and a thermistor element that has drifted or opened internally. Because this sensor sits on the refrigerant loop rather than a coolant or HV enclosure, no HV lockout is required to access or replace it.

These 8 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 8 times.
