Aftertreatment Glow Plug

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P269B (Exhaust Aftertreatment Glow Plug Control Circuit/Open) covers the ignition glow plug in a diesel exhaust burner (fuel-fired aftertreatment heater) that lights injected fuel to raise DPF temperature for regeneration, flagging an open, shorted, or underperforming plug element or its control circuit. Unlike engine glow plugs, this plug lives in the exhaust stream and fails from soot fouling and thermal cycling; a failed control relay and heat-damaged supply wiring are the other common causes.

These 8 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 8 times.
