Code P2444 (AIR System Pump Stuck On Bank 1) sets when the ECM commands the secondary air injection pump on or off and the resulting air flow does not match the command, indicating the pump motor is mechanically stuck running, stuck off, or delivering more flow than expected for the duty cycle. Causes are a seized pump motor bearing, a relay welded closed, or a collapsed delivery hose letting excess unmetered air reach the exhaust.
