Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2A3F (Excessive Time to Enter Alternative Fuel Control) sets when the AFCM takes longer than its calibrated window to complete the transition from gasoline to CNG/LPG operation after the driver or ECM requests the switch. The delay points at a slow-responding fuel select solenoid, low alternative-fuel tank pressure that leaves too little supply to complete the switch quickly, or a vaporizer that has not warmed enough to deliver stable vapor pressure.
