Auxiliary Thermostat Stuck

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2CEF (Auxiliary Thermostat A Stuck Open) sets when an auxiliary thermostat (A or B) - used to manage flow through a secondary cooling loop such as a turbo, transmission, or oil cooler circuit - fails to open or close as its coolant temperature dictates. Mineral scale seizing the thermostat's wax element, a broken return spring, or debris lodged in the valve seat are the common physical causes.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
