Battery Charger Fuse
Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0E2E (Battery Charger A Fuse) sets when the control module detects that the fuse protecting the onboard charger's HV feed has opened, cutting power to the charger circuit. The most common physical causes are an overcurrent or short-circuit event inside the charger or its HV feed harness, a fuse that fatigued and opened from age or vibration without an underlying fault, and a corroded connection at the charger-side fuse holder.
These 2 diagnostic trouble codes share one
detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single
authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 2 times.
