Code P2E90 (Battery Charger A Internal Power Supply Performance) sets when the onboard charger's internal low-voltage power supply - the stage that powers the charger's own control electronics, separate from its AC input or DC output stages - fails its performance self-check on charger A or B. Causes are a degraded internal capacitor or regulator component from heat aging, or a fault the module detects that requires specialist replacement rather than external wiring repair.
