Brake Booster Temperature Sensor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code C0579 (Brake Booster Temperature Sensor B Circuit Low) sets when the electric brake booster's internal temperature sensor for its drive motor reports a circuit that is open, shorted to power or ground, out of its calibrated range, or disagrees with a redundant temperature channel on the same motor. This sensor protects the booster motor windings from thermal damage during repeated hard braking, so the module will limit or disable electric assist when it cannot trust the reading. The sensor and its wiring are integral to the booster housing, making a failed thermistor element or an internal harness break the most common causes.

These 11 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 11 times.
