Brake Temperature Monitor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code C0072 (Brake Temperature Too High) sets when a brake temperature monitor -- used on torque-vectoring or performance chassis systems to protect pads, rotors, and calipers from thermal damage during aggressive driving -- reports a temperature above its calibrated threshold or a sensor circuit that cannot be trusted. Repeated hard braking, dragging calipers from a stuck slide pin, or towing beyond the vehicle's rated capacity are common real-world causes rather than sensor failure. The module may temporarily reduce torque-vectoring or regenerative braking assist at that corner until the temperature returns to a safe range.

These 1 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 1 times.
