Control Module Internal Temperature

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0634 (Control Module Internal Temperature A Too High) sets when the ECM's own internal temperature sensor reads an open, shorted, or excessively high condition, indicating the module itself is overheating or its internal thermal sensor has failed. Causes are inadequate module cooling/heat-sinking, high resistance in a high-current output overheating the module internally, or a failed internal thermal sensor requiring module replacement.

These 11 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 11 times.
