Control Pilot Ventilation Switch

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0D00 sets when the control pilot ventilation switch — which the EVSE handshake uses to declare whether the charge location requires forced ventilation, relevant to older flooded-battery installations — does not read the expected open/closed state during the charge-handshake sequence. The most common physical causes are a corroded or unseated connector at the switch, a chafed low-voltage signal wire, and a worn or stuck switch contact. Because this signal is part of the handshake protocol rather than a physical door or lock mechanism, a fault here can prevent a charge session from starting even though every mechanical part of the charge port is functioning normally.

These 7 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 7 times.
