Coolant Heater AB Control Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2B72 (Coolant Heater A Control Circuit/Open) covers the auxiliary electric coolant heater (A or B) used to speed cabin warm-up or protect a component loop in cold weather, along with its internal control module's own performance, supply voltage, and over-temperature checks. The ECM flags an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, a performance deviation, or a module-level fault. Causes are a burnt-out heater element, a failed internal control module, or corroded wiring at the heater's high-current connector.

These 12 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 12 times.
