Code P2CC8 (Coolant Pump Speed Sensor Circuit) covers the dedicated tachometer/speed feedback sensor built into an electric coolant pump, distinct from the pump's own control-circuit fault codes, used so the ECM can confirm actual impeller speed matches commanded duty cycle. The ECM flags an open, shorted, out-of-range, or implausible signal. Causes are a failed Hall-effect speed sensor inside the pump housing, a corroded connector, or damaged signal wiring.
