Crankcase Ventilation System

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P04DB (Crankcase Ventilation System Disconnected) sets when the ECM's crankcase ventilation monitor detects a disconnected hose, an implausible pressure/flow reading from a hose-connection sensor, or an overall performance deviation in the closed crankcase ventilation (CCV) system that manages blow-by gases. Causes are a hose knocked loose or split, a corroded connector at the hose-connection sensor, or a clogged/frozen PCV orifice or oil separator restricting normal flow.

These 7 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 7 times.
