Cylinder Contribution Balance

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0263 (Cylinder 1 Contribution/Balance) sets when the ECM's cylinder balance test finds one cylinder contributing more or less power than its neighbors beyond the calibrated tolerance. Causes are a weak or clogged injector on that cylinder, uneven compression, or a vacuum leak local to that cylinder's intake runner.

These 12 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 12 times.
