DC-DC Converter Voltage Sensor

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0E31 sets when the control module detects an implausible reading from the sensor monitoring the DC/DC converter's regulated 12V output voltage — the value falls outside the tight window the 12V accessory system needs, independent of the converter's temperature or current faults. The most common physical causes are a corroded or loose connection at the output sense-wire tap, a failed input on the converter's internal monitoring IC, and an aging 12V accessory battery that pulls the regulated output down enough to look like a converter fault. Because the converter's HV input side is a separate circuit from this low-voltage output sensor, most diagnosis here does not require opening the HV enclosure.

These 15 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 15 times.
