DCT Clutch Motor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P28C4 (Clutch A Motor Phase U-V-W Circuit Low) sets when the TCM detects a phase-winding fault (U-V-W open, short, or imbalance), overspeed, underspeed, pump-motor underperformance, or a driver over-current/over-temperature condition on the brushless electric motor that applies clutch A or B in an electro-hydraulic or electro-mechanical dual-clutch actuator. Causes are a shorted or open motor phase winding, a failing motor bearing raising drive current, or a loose phase-lead connection at the actuator's integrated driver.

These 16 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 16 times.
