DOR Catalyst Deterioration Sensor

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2572 (Direct Ozone Reduction Catalyst Deterioration Sensor Circuit) sets when the ECM sees an open, shorted, out-of-range, or intermittent signal from the sensor that monitors the direct ozone reduction catalyst coating's condition, or determines from that signal that the coating's ozone-breakdown efficiency has fallen below threshold. Causes are a corroded connector at the front-of-vehicle sensor location, physical damage to the coated surface from road debris, or coating degradation from age and mileage.

These 6 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 6 times.
