Driveshaft Speed Sensor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code C05F0 (Rear Drive Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit Low) sets when the driveline module loses a valid signal from the speed sensor monitoring the rear driveshaft or a front half-shaft, used to detect axle slip and coordinate AWD clutch or transfer case engagement. The circuit can read low, high, intermittent, or out of its expected range/performance window, most often from a damaged tone ring, an air gap that has opened up from a worn bushing or mount, or a corroded connector exposed to road spray at this underbody location. Because this signal directly feeds AWD engagement logic, a fault here can cause hesitant or delayed power transfer even though the clutch and actuator themselves are healthy.

These 6 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 6 times.
