Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0520 (Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch A Circuit) sets when the ECM sees an open, shorted, or implausible signal from an engine oil pressure sensor or switch. Causes are a failed sensor/switch, oil residue fouling the sensor's electrical contact, a blown fuse feeding the sensor circuit, or chafed wiring between the sensor and the gauge/ECM.

These 12 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 12 times.
