EVAP Switching Valve Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2418 (EVAP System Switching Valve Control Circuit/Open) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, a short, or out-of-range voltage while driving the EVAP system switching valve that redirects the monitor between the canister vent path and a natural-vacuum leak-check path. Causes are a failed valve solenoid coil, a corroded connector at the valve, or wiring chafed between the ECM and the valve near the charcoal canister.

These 3 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 3 times.
