Fan Speed Sensor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0526 (Fan Speed Sensor Circuit) sets when the ECM does not see a plausible tachometer/speed feedback signal from the cooling fan motor, distinct from a fault in the fan's power driver circuit. Causes are a failed Hall-effect speed sensor inside the fan motor, a damaged connector at the fan shroud, or chafed wiring where the harness flexes near the fan.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
