Four Wheel Drive Switch Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0818 (Driveline Disconnect Switch Input Circuit) sets when the transfer case/4WD control module sees an open, shorted, or implausible signal from the driver's 4WD mode switch or the front-axle driveline disconnect switch. Causes are worn switch contacts, a failed disconnect-switch sensor at the front differential/axle, or chafed wiring at the console or under-body harness.

These 13 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 13 times.
