Fuel Volume Regulator Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0001 (Fuel Volume Regulator A Control Circuit/Open) sets when the ECM cannot drive or verify the fuel volume regulator (metering solenoid) that meters fuel into a high-pressure common-rail or GDI pump — the commanded duty cycle produces a circuit open, out-of-range current, or a learned trim value pinned against its adaptation limit. Root causes are a failed regulator coil, oxidized connector pins, chafed harness conductors, or a mechanically sticking metering valve caused by fuel contamination.

These 12 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 12 times.
