Gear Selection Actuator Position Sensor

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2E10 (Gear Selection Actuator Position Sensor Circuit) sets when the sensor confirming the automated shift actuator has reached its commanded gear-selection position reads open, shorted, implausible, or intermittent, or the actuator itself fails its performance check. Metallic debris in the transmission fluid interfering with a magnetic sensor, a worn sensor track from constant actuator motion, or a connector fault at the mechatronic unit are the common causes.

These 5 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 5 times.
