Gear Shift Forward Reverse Actuator Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0920 (Gear Shift Forward Actuator Circuit/Open) sets when the TCM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, or an implausible signal while driving the forward or reverse shift-fork actuator on a dual-clutch/automated manual transmission. Causes are a failed actuator solenoid/motor, hydraulic air in the circuit, or damaged control wiring at the mechatronic connector.

These 9 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 9 times.
