Gear Shift Position Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0914 (Gear Shift Position Circuit A) sets when the TCM sees an open, shorted, or implausible signal from the gear-shift position sensor on a dual-clutch or automated manual transmission's shift-rail mechanism, which reports which gear within the selected gate is engaged. Causes are sensor wear, a lost calibration, or damaged wiring at the mechatronic connector.

These 18 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 18 times.
