Code P0ABF sets when the control module detects an implausible reading from the HV battery pack's main current sensor — the shunt or Hall-effect sensor that measures total pack charge/discharge current and feeds the state-of-charge and thermal models. The most common physical causes are a corroded or loose connector at the sensor, a damaged shunt or Hall-effect element from a high-current event, and chafed signal wiring picking up induced noise from the adjacent HV bus bar the sensor straddles. Because every module — BMS, inverters, charger — relies on this single current reading, a fault here can produce secondary implausibility codes throughout the HV system until it is resolved.
