Code P2BE8 (Hybrid/EV Battery Precharge Contactor Control Circuit B Open) covers the control circuit for a second precharge contactor (B), used on platforms with dual charge paths or a separate precharge circuit for the drive inverter versus the DC fast-charge path. The ECM flags an open, out-of-range, low, or high condition on the control circuit. Causes are a failed coil winding, a corroded coil-driver connector, or damaged control wiring - the same failure modes as the primary precharge contactor, on the second circuit.
