U0452 means the restraints control module received a crash sensor or occupant classification value that fails a plausibility check even though the sensor is communicating normally -- for example an impact sensor reporting a value inconsistent with the vehicle's actual deceleration history. Because an incorrect restraints reading is a safety-critical condition, this fault must be fully diagnosed and the SRS self-test confirmed clear before returning the vehicle to service; the battery must be disconnected and left to sit through the manufacturer's discharge wait time before any restraints connector is opened.
