MAF Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P00BC (Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit Range/Performance - Air Flow Too Low) sets when the ECM detects an implausible signal from the mass air flow sensor — reported airflow disagrees with throttle position and engine speed, or the signal voltage leaves its calibrated window. The most common physical causes are a contaminated MAF sensing element, unmetered air entering the intake downstream of the sensor, and chafed or corroded wiring in the sensor's 5V reference / signal-return circuit.

These 15 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 15 times.
