PCV Heater Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P053A (PCV Heater A Control Circuit /Open) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, out-of-range current, or a performance fault while driving the electric heater built into the PCV system to prevent ice/sludge blockage in cold weather. Causes are a burnt-out heater element, a corroded connector, or damaged wiring between the ECM and the heater.

These 8 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 8 times.
