PCV System Restriction

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P051F (PCV Filter Restriction) sets when the ECM determines crankcase pressure is too high for current operating conditions, or the PCV filter/breather element is restricted enough to reduce airflow. This is a mechanical PCV-system fault: oil sludge or debris clogging the PCV valve, hoses, or filter, worn piston rings/valve seals adding excess blow-by, or a collapsed/pinched PCV hose.

These 2 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 2 times.
