PM Sensor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P24AE (Particulate Matter Sensor Circuit) sets when the ECM sees an open, shorted, out-of-range, or intermittent signal from the soot-sensing particulate matter (PM) sensor downstream of the DPF used to confirm the filter is not passing untreated soot, including its supply-voltage circuit and a regeneration-incomplete flag that prevents the sensor's self-cleaning burn cycle from finishing. Causes are excessive soot accumulation on the sensing element from a leaking upstream filter, a corroded connector, or a failed sensor element.

These 8 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 8 times.
