PM Sensor Heater Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P24B3 (Particulate Matter Sensor Heater Control Circuit/Open) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, out-of-range current, a driver over-temperature condition, or an implausible resistance while driving the heater that brings the particulate matter sensor's sensing element to operating temperature and burns accumulated soot off between readings. Causes are a failed heater element inside the sealed sensor, a corroded connector, or a heater driver stage overheating from a partially shorted element.

These 6 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 6 times.
