Reductant Pump Position Sensor

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2AD6 (Reductant Pump Motor Position Sensor Circuit) covers the position sensor that confirms the diesel exhaust fluid supply pump's motor is actually rotating and pumping as commanded, distinct from the pump's own control-circuit fault codes. The ECM flags an open, shorted, out-of-range, or intermittent signal. Causes are a worn sensor element from continuous pump-motor rotation, a corroded connector at the pump module, or DEF crystallization fouling the sensor's mounting area after a cold soak.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
