Shift Motor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P28E0 (Shift Motor Phase U-V-W Circuit Low) sets when the TCM detects a U-V-W phase-winding fault, a performance deviation, overspeed, or a driver over-current/over-temperature condition on the brushless shift motor that moves the gear-selection mechanism in an electric-actuation automated gearbox. Causes are a shorted or open phase winding, mechanical binding in the shift mechanism loading the motor, or a loose phase connection at the motor's driver stage.

These 7 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 7 times.
