Code B0001 (Driver Frontal Stage 1 Deployment Control) sets when the SRS module cannot verify correct resistance on the igniter (squib) circuit for a specific airbag -- an open circuit, a short to power or ground, or a resistance reading outside the narrow window the module requires before it will authorize deployment. Because every deployment-control circuit uses the same low-energy squib architecture regardless of which airbag it fires, the diagnosis is identical at every seating position and row: a corroded connector, a chafed harness conductor, or a failed igniter inside the airbag module itself. This code disables deployment for that airbag until resolved, so it must be treated as safety-critical and never bypassed or ignored.
