Throttle Position Sensor G Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
P212A (Throttle Position Sensor/Switch G Circuit) covers an additional redundant throttle position sensor channel (labeled G) used on some multi-sensor throttle bodies as a cross-check against the primary position sensors. The ECM distinguishes a missing or out-of-range signal, an intermittent connection, and a signal that fails to track the other channels smoothly, and the sensor element itself or its connector are the parts most often at fault.

These 5 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 5 times.
