Transfer Case Control System

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0800 (Transfer Case Control System (MIL Request)) sets when the transfer case control module's overall self-check requests the MIL for a general system fault, as opposed to a single sensor or switch circuit. Causes are low or contaminated transfer case fluid, a failed shift motor/encoder, a corroded module connector, or network wiring problems between the transfer case module and other vehicle modules.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
