Turbo Overboost Condition

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0234 (Turbocharger/Supercharger A Overboost Condition) sets when boost pressure exceeds the commanded safe maximum, indicating a real mechanical overboost event rather than a sensor circuit fault. Causes are a wastegate stuck closed, a disconnected wastegate actuator rod, or a boost control solenoid stuck commanding full boost.

These 5 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 5 times.
